Important note: This post contains my thoughts on whether or not you should buy the Biggest Firesale 2 package. It’s not so much a typical review where I say I loved the product (because there will be over 100 of them inside the package) as it is a post about my thoughts on the original Biggest Firesale that took place in November 2008 (and a bit about Biggest Firesale 2 as well).

Bad stuff

When I purchased the original Biggest Firesale package, I got access to TONS of products. In the 12 months since that original event, I’ve probably only thoroughly gone through a handful of the products. I’ve skimmed about half of them and haven’t even touched the other half. There was so much stuff in there that I just got completely overwhelmed (I was a newbie at the time).

Being a newbie at the time, I was attracted to the size of the package and the price. Who wouldn’t want a ton of paid stuff at a 99% discount, right? I honestly didn’t know what I would do with all that stuff afterwards – I just knew that I wanted to buy. So I’m warning you right now: if you’re a newbie who has yet to make any significant amount of money online, the Biggest Firesale 2 package might not be for you.

I’d also like to warn you now that there will be a lot of one-time offers. I know some people get annoyed when they get any OTOs – this time, there’s going to be a LOT of them. If you’re a newbie and you don’t have your own product yet, you don’t know how to drive traffic, and you haven’t made any money online yet, then these OTOs will be completely useless to you. I was tempted to purchase some of them back in November 2008, but I didn’t. On the other hand, if you’re at least an IM intermediate, then you might have some use for the OTO products. They will be well worth the price, but it’s just a matter of knowing whether or not they’ll be of use to you.

Good stuff

The products that I did look at from the original Biggest Firesale were very helpful. Let me give you an example. I got the best article marketing ebook I have ever read out of that firesale. And you know what the best part of it was? I both learned a ton from it AND got resell rights to it. And that’s the beauty of this event – you’ll be getting resell rights to just about every product that’s going to be in the package.

As long as you’re more than a newbie, this package will bring a lot of value into your business. You don’t necessarily have to have made money online to be an intermediate. Newbies are those who are completely new and wouldn’t be able to tell you the difference between MRR and PLR, or SEO and PPC for that matter. To be considered an intermediate, you just have to know enough to be able to make money online. Of course, if you’re making money on a consistent basis, that’s when you can be considered advanced.

This Biggest Firesale 2 package will bring tons of value to you IF you’re an IM intermediate or higher.

You’ll be able to:

• learn various techniques and methods for making money online
• learn about different aspects of IM (e.g. video marketing, article marketing, list building)
• gain access to software and scripts to make your life easier, increase functionality of your sites, or to somehow make your business more profitable
• resell the products for profit
• give them away (if its within the rights as laid out in their respective licenses) to build your list

The Biggest Firesale 2 package may not be for you…or it might be the best purchase you make this entire year – it really depends on where you’re at in your business and where you intend to go with it.

When I purchased the original Biggest Firesale package, I didn’t have too much money to spend and I didn’t know a whole lot about Internet marketing. I think it was a good decision to purchase the package because I, a) saved a whole bunch of money because I didn’t have to go out and buy everything separately, and b) learned quite a bit from a few of the products within the package.

I will freely admit that I have not gone through a bunch of the products that I got with the package. Yep…that was 12 months ago and I still have some paid products sitting around on my harddrive that I’ve never touched.

So who is the ideal customer for Biggest Firesale 2? More specifically, who should buy it and who shouldn’t?

For starters, if you’re green as they come (total beginner), then you shouldn’t purchase the Biggest Firesale 2 package. This is because there will be a TON of information inside and you will be totally overwhelmed. You will end up wasting your money because you’ll never use the stuff inside the package.

If your business model doesn’t call for this kind of package, then DON’T buy it. Say you’re a website flipper, a ghostwriter, a PPC advertiser, or a blogger. Don’t distract yourself with this package…there will be so much stuff on so many different topics that you’ll end up losing time that could be spent on your current business.

On the other hand, if you want to learn a ton without paying a ton, if you want products to sell, if you need products to put on your back-end, and if you’d like tools to make your online business easier to run, then you SHOULD buy this.

The original Biggest Firesale, held approximately 12 months ago, was organized and executed by Vince Tan. The event was the largest of its kind in Internet marketing history and catapulted a previously unknown Vince into the spotlight.

This time, Vince is back with help from Mr. Fireball himself, Ian Del Carmen.

I totally understand why Vince would want help to run this event. Think about it – what would it take for you to get a hundred top Internet marketers to contribute their paid products to a package which you’re going to sell for a tiny fraction of the total retail value? The fact that he managed to get that many to say yes was pretty cool, but imagine how many he had to ask in order to get that many takers!

I just wanted to clarify the definition of a firesale for anyone who might not be familiar with it. Originally, fire sales were events which took place when real fires caused merchandise to be damaged, thereby lowering their value. Retailers would drastically lower prices on all damaged goods and call it a fire sale.

In the Internet marketing world, firesales are basically events where numerous paid products are slapped together and sold for ridiculously low prices. The original Biggest Firesale event saw dozens of top marketers contributing their own paid products into a giant package which had a real world value of well over $10000. Products which had retail price tags ranging from $17 to $497 (and more) were all compiled into one giant package which sold for $97.

Basically, you got more than a 99% discount. Good deal if you ask me.

Now, Biggest Firesale 2 is around the corner and the price will be about the same as last time, but this time, you’ll be getting much more stuff. Complete no-brainer if you ask me…I’ll be buying this Biggest Firesale 2 package myself as soon as the doors open.
